Here are a few things to check:

Skype needs your permission to access the microphone and camera of your desktop. Bank check your System'southward Privacy Permissions. For Mac OSX Mojave (10.14 or higher) and Skype for Windows ten (version fourteen) users, y'all must grant Skype permissions to use your desktop microphone and camera.
Mac OSX Mojave (ten.14 or college):
- Go to Mac Arrangement Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy Tab > Microphone/Camera and grant access to Skype.

Hi i've reinstalled Skype and the problem is still there! No photographic camera, no microphone no speakers

i take OS X Yosemite 10.10.v

it was working fine this forenoon ! I made a video call for 1hour and half .... what is the problem?

Microsoft is already aware about the issue with the latest 8.56. update installed on MAC Os Yosemite, and is hopefully working on a solution.

I've had the same problem with Skype to Skype calls. I can send message simply I go the "Opps there is a Problem" bulletin. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Skype three times already with no success.

Glad to see I'm not the just one still runningYosemite 10.10.5I had a grooming session scheduled that I had to cancel. I depend on Skype for work and for international calls in general. Please set up!

Go back to a previous version...  I merely did and it is working fine... I personally dont believe in auto updates...

the version I downloaded was 8-55-0-141
